Celebrities live in extravagant homes, but they also stay in some top-notch hotels and resorts when they travel around the world. Luxurious accommodations include private terraces, outrageous lounges and remarkable spa treatments. Sometimes, celebrities even get their own island!

If you want to imagine living like a star with fancy accommodations, take a virtual trip through these luxurious hotels and resorts where celebrities often stay.

AC Santo Mauro: Madrid, Spain

When you book a hotel room, how long do you usually stay? One weekend or one week tends to be the average length for a "normal" getaway. That's not necessarily true for the rich and famous. In fact, David Beckham and his family enjoyed the Madrid hotel so much that they decided to temporarily move there.

For 80 nights, the Beckham family lived in two suites. They racked up a whopping $476,237 bill. However, only $98,160 of the total was for the rooms. The other charges were for security, phone calls, laundry, food, drinks and a birthday bash.

New York's The Standard attracts models, millionaires and Beyoncé, a.k.a. Queen Bey. However, the singer does more than just spend the night at the hotel; she shoots music videos there. In fact, one video from her 2013 visual album took place at The Standard.

Kardashian called attention to the outdoor spa in the jungle, where she listened to the ocean and birds during her beauty treatment. Antigua's Jumby Bay is a 300-acre island that's only accessible by private catamaran. As soon as you step onto the island, there will be no question that you'll feel like royalty. The property has three pools, a huge fitness center and an ocean view spa. If you're ready to shell out the big bucks, the least expensive room starts at $1,500 per night.

Chateau Marmont: Los Angeles, CA

For almost a century, Chateau Marmont has enchanted many stars, especially Robert De Niro. He couldn't get enough of the hotel, so the actor settled in its charming penthouse for two years! De Niro's temporary home included a 1,500 square foot private terrace, a traditional fireplace and a dining room.

What is the secret of this hotel? Chateau Marmont throws afterparties for mega-stars, but celebrities stay for its secluded location. Overlooking Sunset Boulevard, the hotel rarely hosts tourists. However, countless stars have spent the night, including Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman and Mick Jagger.

Atlantis Paradise Island: Bahamas

Earlier in 2019, Jimmy Fallon and his family escaped the New York cold and soaked up some sun in the Bahamas. The family of four opted for Atlantis Paradise Island, a resort that always feels like summer. Travelers give the resort high marks for its clear waterslide that goes through a lagoon.

However, this isn't your average lagoon. Atlantis Paradise Island is home to 14 lagoons filled with 8 million gallons of saltwater and 50,000 ocean animals, including sharks, manta rays and fish. The Fallon family met bottlenose dolphins at the resort's Dolphin Cay. On social media, Fallon shared a photo of the family enjoying the sun and wearing wet suit rentals. Swimming with dolphins costs $130 to $150 per person.

Hotel Costes: Paris, France

In the summer of 2019, fans thought Riverdale's real-life couple, Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse, split up. However, fans couldn't believe their eyes when the two were spotted together during Paris Fashion Week in September. Photographers snapped Reinhart and Sprouse leaving the Hotel Costes.

The Riverdale star teased fans with an Instagram photo of a romantic Parisian view from her room's window, revealing a balcony draped in flowers. The Pierre: New York, NY

Who can resist the luxurious Pierre Hotel in New York? Certainly not Mindy Kaling. The Mindy Project creator and star called the Taj hotel home for nine days. However, she wasn't alone. Kaling spent family time at The Pierre with her daughter, Katherine.

Kaling was so blown away by her experience that she couldn't keep it to herself. On Instagram, she gave a special shout out to the hotel's incredible staff and Indian chefs Manjit Manohar and Ashfer Biju. She also posted a photo of a view of Central Park.

Sunset Tower Hotel: Los Angeles, CA

When Jennifer Aniston celebrates her birthday, she throws a massive star-studded party. For her 50th birthday, the superstar opted for West Hollywood's Sunset Tower Hotel to live it up. The party was exclusively for celebrities, which meant no paparazzi allowed.

Wymara Resort: Turks & Caicos Islands
